Redeemer Recommends

One of the blessings of modern technology is the vast amount of resources available at our fingertips. A person can listen to sermons while at the gym, podcasts on their commute, and music while they relax. They can connect with multiple churches all over the world without ever leaving the county. However, this blessing can also be a huge curse. There is a lot of material available online. A quick search query for "sermons on Matthew 5" can turn up literally thousands of results - some good, and many bad.

While online resources should never replace physical, local church involvement (Hebrews 10:24-25), we do realize the value of supplemental online material for use throughout the week. Therefore, our elders have pieced together an evolving document to help guide the serious student of Scripture to trusted resources. This list is by no means exhaustive, but is merely meant to provide names of certain individuals we trust. On this list, you will find names of trusted pastors, podcasters, websites, and even Spotify playlists of music for singing or casual listening. The majority of names on this list adhere to either the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession or a similar Reformed Confession (such as the Westminster Confession of Faith). We also include a section titled "mark and avoid." Individuals in this section espouse teachings that place them outside of historic Christian orthodoxy and should be avoided.

We hope this list will enrich your online experience, and protect you from hours of "doom-scrolling" 30-second reels that may (or may not!) be solid content. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you pursue solid, Christ-centered content throughout your week.
